My inspiration to do what I do  / Darnell Nicholson (My second farther figure )
Growing up and in life you sometimes never know who could inspire you to do something great and to be the best you can be at it.I think everyone knew him as Butch but to me he was always Mr.Price.I'am now a 37 year old Business owner who's job is making cars beautifulas a teen I worked at the local grocery store right around the corner from Mr.Price's house.I had never knew he had a love for cars as he did.I remember he would always come in the store for one itembut I can't remember if it was a carton of juice or a carton of milk but I do remember bagging just one item everytime he came in and he would be on his wayhe never said to much but he would always ask me when you going to get rid of that ugly truck you gotbut as a teen I thought I had one of the hotest trucks in the city.I came to find out later he really liked the truck but hated the fact it was a chevyfrom that point on we talked about cars quite a bitand one afternoon he had invited me over to the house to see some projects he had going ongetting to the house was no problem but making it pass the killer attack dog was another we made or way back to his shopand when he open the door I could not close my mouth it was one of the cleanest Dodge Coronets I had ever seen.You have to keep in mind I'm a teenager at the time and what he's showing me I only seen in magazines.It was pure perfectionthe lookthe stancethe body linesthe intreriorand to see his face light up when he turned the key over.I could see the smile on his face like it was yesterday.I will never forget the sound of that enginebut later after that I became a fixture at the house just wanting to come by and see what he had going onhe tought me that you don't need a lot of space to buid great thingshe was proof.I remember a few weeks went by were I didnt get to go by and I had gotten an invatation in the mail to a show in Waverly TN Called the Poor Boy's Classic.I knew all sorts of cars and trucks would be on the show so I registered and went.I got to the show picked my spot and I got my truck super sharpafterwards I wanted to walk the show and see the other cars I got to the classics and the first car I seen was Mr. Price's Dodge Coronet it looked really really good.I keep telling my buddy I know the owner of this carbut he was no where in sight we walked a little futher and there he sat right under a shade tree.I think he spoted use before we spoted him because as we approached he looked over his gasses and just shook his head.It's like I said he didnt say a whole lotbut he did ask me if I had that ugly truck on the show and I told him yes.We walked over to look he didnt say anything but I could tell by the look on his face he was pretty impressed.and from that point on we spent the whole day walkin that show over laughinglookin and talking about cars.It was truly one of the best times of my life spending time with a man who sort of took me in and showed me something new.I thank him with all my heart for inspireing me to do what do todayand striving to be the best at itand by the way we both took home trophies that day.Mr.Price I miss youand what all you have showed me and thought me will never be forgoten. Butch will be miss, not having him here to celebrate his special day.  But, the assurance of knowing that he is happy and not suffering and spending his first birthday with God means a lot.

True Loyal Lifetime Friend  / Butch's Friends (FRIENDS)
It is hard to find a true loyal lifetime friend in people, but Butch Price, if you were his friend, YOU WERE HIS FRIEND and you knew it.

He was loyal and had a great love for people.  He was a real gentleman and it was an honor to have known him through out his life time.

He is missed by many friends.  He had a love and
a kindness that he showed to many, and I was honored to be one of his friends.

A real friend that has gone, but NEVER FORGOTTEN.

WE WERE MARRIED ON DEC.28,1964. WE WERE MARRIED ALMOST 42 YEARS. WE HAD 4 CHILDREN. 3 GIRLS AND 1 BOY. WE ALSO ADOPTED OUR SON'S DAUGHTER SHANNON. WE WILL ALWAYS MISS HIM. HE WAS VERY SICK THE LAST 4 YEARS OF HIS LIFE. WE NEARLY LOST HIM IN 2004. WE WERE ABLE TO KEEP HIM 2 MORE YEARS.THIS WE ARE THANKFUL FOR. Close
